Mom, I've signed a Podcast deal!

Hi mom,

It’s been way too long since we talked. I know. I’m sorry.

I’ve been working hard. Doing lot’s of freelance advertising strategy work. But most of all developing and producing my podcast show. I haven’t been talking too much about it on here. But that’s about to change. Because I’ve got some big news.

I told you about podcasts before, right? It’s like a radio show on demand. On any subject you can think of. You can download every episode of the podcast show you like whenever it comes out. For free. People listen to it during their commute or when they’re in the gym.

Anyway, I’ve been making a fiction podcast. That’s like an audio drama. Or more like a Netflix-show but without the visuals.

I’ll get into what the show is about as soon as I can. For now, I’ve made this concept teaser:

For this show idea, I’ve signed a deal. A deal with a company called Acast. You’ve never heard of them and that’s fine. They’re a curated platform, a bit like a publisher. They distribute podcasts. Which means they make sure the audio files are available at all the different places people listen to podcasts. But more importantly, they also promote their podcasts and find advertisers for them. Trying to turn the show into a viable business.

It’s pretty exciting stuff. I’m producing the show almost full time now, to get it ready as fast as possible. And in the upcoming posts, I’ll talk about the process of making this thing and getting it out there.

Gotta get back to it now, Mom.
Talk to you soon!
