Footage has surfaced of 10 people locked together in the same room. We don't know where they are, or whether they can go outside. Each member of the group has received very specific instructions on how to live their lives. They have been assigned a role, which they must play in order to serve the group. Who writes those instructions? And why is the group forced to build a life cut off from the outside world? The answers must be somewhere on these recordings.

The Deca Tapes is Lex's debut as a storyteller. He wrote the script, directed the actors and composed the soundtrack in his bedroom in Amsterdam, hoping to make a name for himself as an author. And it succeeded: the podcast became an international hit, and earned Lex his first book contract.
